C I N E M A T O G R A P H Y

When I registered for TCU's Cinematography course, I was looking for a challenge, but had no idea what was in store.  We were told during the first week of the class that we would be making independent video projects.  This weighed on my mind for some time since all of my previous camera work had been under direct supervision, unlike many of my peers who had been making short films for years.  The project would encompass everything I knew about film and take it a step further by requiring me to write, cast, direct, film, and edit my work.

Over the course of this project, I had to learn to think and act quickly to resolve challenges.  I cast and then recast all of the actors, recovered lost footage from a rough Quicktime video, and handled a computer crash after having just finished final edits.  I had to draw on the help of my professors and peers, and trust myself enough to know that I could successfully finish the video.
